Gil Guesthouse - Budardalur

The attentive staff welcomed us warmly, and the breakfast was fantastic with freshly baked bread! The spacious parking area was quite a luxury, and we enjoyed the fine sea view from our room.

We were there for 1 night, overall had a great stay. Accommodating staff and FAVOURABLE location by beautiful nature, everything was brand-new.

I have stayed in the double room with central heating, a multi-channel television, and a writing desk. The location is remote, very close to beautiful nature and farms.

Sea view is fine, but the door was hard to open.

The hotel of choice in Budardalur. Useful base for traveling to Budardalur and exploring local places. Marvellousremote location and rich breakfast. Walking distance to the bus stop, 10 mins. Very kind and nice staff, comfy rooms with full facilities and kettle, for instance. Variety of goodies for breakfast.

The owner provided really good service by preparing a delicious meal late at night and sharing fascinating stories about Iceland's culture and geography, making our stay nice.

The room was spacious and well-equipped with a fridge, kettle, and plenty of cutlery . The hosts were great, and breakfast was abundant with options to suit various tastes.

Warm and cute staff! The breakfast spread was epic, and we even got some great local tips! Loved the cozy lounge area to unwind after a day of exploring.

The room could use better soundproofing, as we could hear neighbors a bit too clearly.

The room was cozy and had a fine view of the valley! The shared living room with a hot water kettle made it easy to whip up some instant noodles. The hosts were super helpful, giving us great tips for our trip. Breakfast was really abundant, a nice bonus. A comfy stay!

This place is located in a stunning setting, within walking distance of a grand cathedral and near a beautiful valley and restaurant, surrounded by beautiful nature.

The room with a private bathroom was great, and the bed was huge 🛏️. the location was perfect - it was so convenient to get to all the places I wanted to visit.

The rooms at Gil Guesthouse are cozy and comfortable, with a homely feel. I loved the desk in the room, great for catching up on emails or planning the day's activities. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The private bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and the bed linen and towels were fresh and soft. a great room for a traveler like me who values both functionality and comfort.

I personally found the sea views in some units a bit underwhelming, but that's just my subjective opinion. Others might still enjoy the view.
